Fallout Day, a holiday made up in celebration of the in-game date that the bombs dropped and ushered in the post-apocalyptic era of the popular RPG series, has come and gone. This year, Bethesda used the occasion to make a slew of announcements about the immediate future of Fallout 76, the now-good MMO that the studio released in a disastrous state back in 2018. The team is also seizing this opportunity to discount pretty much every available game in the series on storefronts right now, meaning that if you’re hungering to jump into Fallout, now’s a really good time to do so.

Why Fallout: New Vegas Is Still Canon After The TV Show

Leading the pack is Fallout 76, which Bethesda appears to be going all-in on as fans of the single-player titles continue to wait for Fallout 5, which will not be arriving anytime remotely soon. Fallout 76, which has enjoyed a critical reevaluation following countless updates and quality-of-life fixes, is discounted to $10 on every platform it’s available on, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. If you’re cautious of both Game Pass and just outright buying the game, Bethesda is also allowing folks to try out Fallout 76 for free until October 29, which also happens to be when these deals end.

Next up is Fallout 4, the critically acclaimed 2015 installment in the franchise that has, over time, become one of those games that everybody just kind of has, regardless of their affinity for the series or genre. Fallout 4 is discounted to $6.59 on all of its platforms, and the game of the year edition, which packs in all of its major DLCs and expansions, is on sale for $10. Every piece of DLC is also discounted heavily at the moment, in case you already own the game and just never checked out what else was on offer.

Additionally, if you’re interested in checking out Fallout 4 in virtual reality, you can pick that up on Steam for $24.

On Steam, the beloved cult favorite Fallout: New Vegas is discounted to $5, but the ultimate edition with all of the game’s DLC is just $8 on both PC and Xbox. PlayStation’s missing out here due to a lack of backwards compatibility on both the PS4 and PS5, but the good news is that New Vegas is hardly an intense game for even the mildest of PCs by 2024 standards, so you don’t have to miss out on what is widely talked about as the best modern Fallout game.

You already know the deal. Fallout 3 and its DLC-bearing GOTY edition are $2.49 and $5, respectively, where they are available. Additionally, the first two Fallout games, which were classic isometric RPGs developed by Interplay and Black Isle back in the day, as well as Fallout Tactics, are $2.49 on PC.

If that’s all too much to ponder, there’s one catch-all package that makes it real simple. The franchise bundle, which is available on Steam, features every mainline installment (Fallout, 2, Tactics, 3 GOTY, New Vegas Ultimate, 4 GOTY, and the 76 Skyline Valley Deluxe Edition) and discounts them to just $52. If you’re anything like me and already have some of these games, the bundle comes out even cheaper.

For less than the price of a retail price video game these days, that’s a lot of huge open-world RPGs with branching paths, dialogues, and seemingly endless modding possibilities. Kind of seems like a no-brainer if you watched the stellar Amazon show earlier this year and have got even a passing interest in exploring Fallout’s darkly funny take on post-apocalyptic America. Just remember, you’ve got till October 29 to check out 76 for free and pick up any of these games on sale.
